The FIGHT for The RIGHT!

You might Be An OBOT if…

I picked this up off a blog (I believe the author to be “Jenna”) and thought it rather telling. I did make a few minor changes but it is 99.9% “pure”.  Please read, remember and enjoy!

YOU MIGHT BE AN OBOT IF…

You feel tingles running up or down your legs when That One is orating. (OK, I’m just getting warmed up, and I had to get that one out of my system.

You’ve never paid any attention to politics until Obama ran for President, and now you’ve become a political expert by reading Huffington Post and/or Daily Kos.

You get called a Cheetoh a lot but you don’t know why.

You believe there are only about 200 PUMAs in the country.

You weep with joy while repeating the mantra “YES WE CAN!”

You think Hillary Clinton tried to “steal” the Democratic nomination.

You fly into a rage when anyone suggests Obama is unqualified for the presidency.

You’ve heard the word “racist” more than any other word in the last year.

You’ve developed a keen interest in Hawaiian body surfing.

For the first time in your life, you are proud of your country.

You believe that with Obama as president, this is a New Age when all wars will end, everyone will be provided for, and you don’t have to worry about paying your mortgage anymore!

You think Obama is a Great Man because of his magnificent accomplishments … like getting elected, and uh, uh, uh…

You think all Hillary Clinton supporters are middle-aged lesbians (not that there’s anything… yada yada yada… )

You get a lump in your throat when you hear the words “President Obama.”

You get a lump in your pants when you see Michelle Obama.

You think Bill Ayers was a non-issue, and was done wrong by the evil media.

You plan to name your children Barack and Baracka.

You believe that saying his middle name is racist.

You think the political platform of “change” is original to Obama.

You believe PUMAs are Republicans pretending to be disaffected Democrats, kind of like Joe Lieberman.

I imagine that you saw a lot of truth in those statements. I know I did!

Obama Fails in Judgement Test, McCain Surges Ahead!

MCCAIN FINESSES OBAMA

Then the McCain campaign pulled off one of the most successful head fakes in modern American politics. Obama had to decide not only whether or not to choose Hillary, but whether to go with another woman, likely Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Had he opted for either woman, the odds are that he would have won the election, but McCain out maneuvered him. Through leaks and judiciously planted stories, the McCain campaign convinced Obama and his people that the Republicans were going to nominate a man Romney, Lieberman, or Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty instead of Sarah Palin who they had, in fact, been eyeing for the job for weeks and weeks before.

What would have happened if this had been one of the leaders of the AXIS of EVIL who want to do us in?

It’s a good thing it was John McCain who outsmarted Baracl Obama first.

This easily shows WHY Obama should never be our President. He has NO SMARTS! He was outsmarted by a man who HE says is out of touch with reality and the American People! Holy Moly, is that a crock or what?

Obama and Tit for Tat and This and That! A good Article!

I am borrowing the following article from FamilySecurityMatters.com and that was written by someone I know well. It gives some short but great points to recent happenings in the Great Election of 2008! It was copied in its entirety and can be found at the web address at the end of the article.

Exclusive: Election 2008 – This ‘n’ That, Tit for Tat

A week ago, Barack Obama and John McCain spoke to the influential Hispanic group, the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). They did not speak together (maybe that was a good thing) but their appearances were a few hours apart. Their quest? To court the Latin American vote.

Obama made many passionate statements about his support for immigration reform during his talk to NCLR, but his comments clash with claims by Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) who says that Obama was “absolutely AWOL on the issue of immigration.” Diaz-Balart also claims that “Sen. Obama joined up with one of the most anti-immigrant senators, Sen. [Byron Dorgan (D-N.D.)], to try to kill the second leg of that stool, the temporary-worker program, [which] was an absolutely indispensable ingredient, and will be in the future, to immigration reform.”

Naturally, Obama also took an obligatory jab at McCain:

“I know Senator McCain used to buck his party on immigration in fighting for comprehensive reform, and I admired him for it and joined him in it. But when he was running for his party’s nomination, he abandoned that courageous stand and said that he wouldn’t even support his own legislation if it came up for a vote.

“I think it’s time for a president who won’t walk away from something as important as comprehensive reform just because it becomes politically unpopular. I will make it a top priority in my first year as the president of the United States of America.”

True, Sen. McCain, along with Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), crafted a bill that would have given the green light for the 12 million illegal immigrants (underestimated amount?) to stay in the United States. After that failed, he tried once more, again failing to get the necessary support. He has now come out in favor of first dealing with securing the borders and then continuing his belief in immigration reform. Is this a flip-flop on his former position? Some say yes, others say no.

The immigration issue is an important one in the campaign that deserves a lot more attention. When the candidates are speaking at an event that is mainly attended by Hispanic voters it gets noticed, but not as a general subject for discussion. Perhaps the underlying reason for the lack of open comment on either side is the fear of public outcry, as was so evident last year when Congress was considering “comprehensive immigration reform.” Yet ignoring the problem will not make it go away.

Obama’s Associates a Constant Source of Embarrassment?

A few months ago, Obama went to the defense of his wife for saying the current presidential campaign is the first time she was really proud of her country. Obama also spent quite a bit of time defending Rev. Jeremiah Wright for damning America – before he chastised the retired pastor for the words he had previously defended.

More recently, Obama took steps to recover from disparaging comments about John McCain’s service in Vietnam made by his supporter, retired Gen. Wesley Clark. It all happened in a television interview by Bob Schieffer during a Face the Nation appearance by Gen. Clark. Clark was explaining that while McCain had served on the Armed Services Committee and traveled extensively, he never had any executive responsibility, was “untested,” and that the air squadron he commanded was not during wartime. Schieffer countered by saying that Obama had no executive experience there either and had not flown a fighter plane, been shot down and become a prisoner of war. Clark’s rejoinder? “Well, I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.”

When a reporter asked Obama if Clark owed McCain an apology, he responded with, “I guess my question is why, given all the vast numbers of things that we’ve got to work on, that that would be a top priority of mine?” For someone who promises to be an arbiter of the Politics of Change, this is disappointing. This is the sort of thing that should transcend the political differences of the two parties.

Hey Barack…Meet Me in Iraq!

Despite rejecting John McCain’s offer of making a joint trip to Iraq, Obama has announced his intention to go there himself to speak to the generals on the ground in order to get more information and “redefine his policies” concerning the war. Is it possible he is trying to show positive feeling toward the military? He has been to Iraq once before, approximately two years ago, but has never taken the time to speak personally with Gen. David Petraeus. It almost appears that Obama may be changing his stance on troop removal and pulling out of Iraq. This, if true, is another indication of his campaign moving away from the far Left part of the Democrat Party. However, covering his bases, Barack Obama penned an op-ed in the New York Times last week where he basically re-confirmed his position on troop withdrawal and ending U.S. participation in the Iraq War 16 months after he is elected. He emphatically stated that we would have no permanent bases in Iraq and “would redeploy the troops to focus in the broader security challenges we face.” He presumably meant Afghanistan. He also scheduled a news conference for Tuesday where he would fully outline his plan.

In his speech this week, Obama said, “As I have said many times, our troops have performed brilliantly in lowering the level of violence. General Petraeus has used new tactics to protect the Iraqi population. We have talked directly to Sunni tribes that used to be hostile to America, and supported their fight against al Qaeda. Shiite militias have generally respected a cease-fire. Those are the facts, and all Americans welcome them.” Yet despite their brilliance, why is Obama only now admitting that the surge has worked, when back in September of 2007 Gen. Petraeus spoke of ample improvement? What a difference winning the primary can make.

Hillary Cleaned House

Well not exactly, but she did remove all the negative Obama campaign information from her websites. All the accusatory comments about Sen. Obama have disappeared, leaving only the laudatory copy about Hillary herself. Could it be for the start of a Hillary for President Campaign in 2012? Is it partial payback for the monetary assistance Obama gave Clinton to help retire her campaign debt? We may never know. The Obama bashing is now left to the Republicans, and Senator Clinton will be campaigning for Obama’s election (sort of). Obama however, has not taken off the negatives against Clinton. Maybe he will after he is “sure” he has the nomination.

Does Jesse Jackson Want a Piece of Obama?

I think Jesse Jackson has actually outdone himself this time – which is hard to do, considering his 1984 reference to Jews as “Hymies” and to New York City as “Hymietown” was the epitome of poor taste and crude/rude commentary coming from Jackson. Well, the self-proclaimed spokesman for the black movement in America has managed to go even further with his hand/arm gesture and open mic comments that he would like to remove part of Obama’s – er, nether region! While he claimed he was upset with Obama for talking down to blacks, I think the real reason is that Jackson (who never met and camera or microphone he didn’t like) has virtually disappeared from the political spotlight and is no longer considered a voice for the black community. His apology was half-hearted and lacking in sincerity. I will further speculate that after watching the video on the news and the Internet several times, I can’t understand why he was whispering IF he thought the microphone was off! Personally, I can’t help but think it may have been a planned “slip of the tongue.” I don’t know what could be gained from such a divisive move but then again, dividing was always Jackson’s strong point (in addition to the fact that he has an ego as big as Alaska!).

It is commendable that his son, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Il), took Daddy to task and publicly criticized him for the inane comment. “I’m deeply outraged and disappointed in Rev. Jackson’s reckless statements,” the younger Jackson said. “I thoroughly reject and repudiate his ugly rhetoric,” said Jackson Jr.

Phil Gramm’s Got the Cure No One Seems to Want

Former Sen. Phil Gramm, who is an advisor on economics for the McCain campaign staff, was also on the hot seat last week for an interview he gave to the Washington Times. During that interview he said we have “become a nation of whiners…America is in decline…You’ve heard of mental depression, this is mental recession.” McCain denied that Gramm was speaking for him and Gramm confirmed that he was speaking only on his own behalf.

What’s the big deal here? I tend to agree with Gramm with regard to whining. I’ve heard more complaining recently than I can recall, and it starts at the top and trickles down. Our media shoulders much of this responsibility, as very seldom is there anything positive on the news. In fact, last Friday as I was driving through Chicago and listening to the news, I heard:

1) The price of oil has increased $5 per barrel

2) We are scheduled to have additional heavy rain storms all weekend

3) The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down by 165.00

Then he said that is all the news, “all negative and all depressing.” This is exactly what Gramm was referring to about the constant feed of bad news. After awhile it becomes a “mental recession” because people begin to believe that everything is going badly.

Gramm said his comments were reported out of context by the media and jumped on by McCain’s opponents. He did add that “we need more leadership and less whining.” I agree with Gramm on both comments 100%.

McCain and Obama are in a tug of war over the middle/working class voters with the main point being the economy and its effects on them. McCain made a comment a week or two ago that the perception we have regarding economic problems (read downturn) is psychological, so naturally the Obama camp put two and two together and came up with more than four. It’s all about politics and spin.

Another Politician Gone “Green”

Last weekend, the Green Party named former Democrat Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney as its Presidential candidate at their nominating convention that was held in Chicago. The controversial Ms. McKinney is possibly best remembered for slugging a Capitol Police officer in 2006 when he asked her for her identification to enter the Capitol. McKinney has pegged Rosa A. Clemente as her Vice Presidential running mate. Clemente, according to her Net profile appears to be an author, hip-hop artist and black activist – not necessarily in that order.

Obama Not Laughing at Bernie Mac’s Jokes

Last Saturday at an Obama fund raising event in Chicago, comic Bernie Mac told a joke referencing “Ho’s” and Obama told him he had to “clean up your act, this is a family affair.” Later, a spokesperson for Obama said Obama didn’t condone such statements and did not think Mac’s attempt at humor was appropriate. Remember, Don Imus lost his job for using the word “ho’s.” Will Bernie suffer the same fate, or will he be relegated to late-late-late night television?

Until next time…

Obama say Al Bore witll have Top Post in “His’ Administration?

Here are a few paragraphs from an article in yesterday’s news that say Nobama is going to give Al Bore a top level government position over global warming!

A woman at a town hall asked the Illinois senator if elected president would he consider tapping the former vice president for his Cabinet, or an even higher level office, to address global warming.

“I would,” Obama said. “Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He’s somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I’m already consulting with him in terms of these issues but climate change is real.”

Gore, who’s work on climate change earned him a Nobel Prize, he is popular among Democrats.

This PROVES Nobama is not thinking straight. Al Bore is a charletan, a faker, a phony, a windbag of hot empty air! Remember his claim that he “INVENTED THE INTERNET”? It’s the same with global warming. There are as many scientists that belive there is no such thing as believe there is. What global warming IS doing is making some people very wealthy and the only melting it’s doing is to the the savings of people like you and I. It is causing increased taxes on you and I and of course that is something Democrats love to do, increase YOUR TAXES. What does Al Bore’s movie and has Oscar and Nobel Prize have to do with anything? I will answer – NOTHING, he is still a BORE!

Hell, even Hillary is smarter than this, there’s no Bore for her!

I urge you to think thrice before you cast your vote for Nobama!

Why Obama is really “NOBAMA”!

Here is the proof! It comes from the left leaning MSNBC program “The Raw Story” The information shown below is on all three Presidential candidates.

McCain’s lifetime attendance record is fairly solid — he’s missed 11 percent of votes since 1987 — and he’s nowhere near as missing from the Senate as Sen. John Kerry four years ago, when he missed 72 percent of votes in 2003-04 alone, says the New York Times. Clinton has missed 27 percent of Senate votes, while “NObama” missed 37 percent of Senate votes.

It seems the Democratic candiates have missed the most votes by far. One thing that is NOT STATED above is that in McCain’s 31 years in the Senate and only missing 11 percent of the votes for that period, he ran a campaign for President back in 2000 just as he is now. “NObama” who has only been a Senator of 3 years has more than tripled the amount of missed votes in the Senate over John McCain and more than doubled those missed votes of Hillary Clinton.

Maybe “Nobama” looks toward John Kerry, who lost his only bid for the Presidency, as an idol figure?

Does “NObama” only cast votes for the bills HE is interested in or worse, only for those that are not controversial in nature?

Was he too busy traveling or possibly it was more important that he write a book or two!

I think the voters (especially Illinois residents who he allegedly is representing) have a RIGHT to know and that he has an obligation to tell us with specifics!

Democratic Political Venom

The following is  a paragraph from today’s NYT online. It is part of a comment from Senator Patrick Leahy who has called for Hillary Clinton to resign and resume a remarkable career in the Senate:

“I am very concerned. John McCain, who has been making one gaffe after another, is getting a free ride on it, because Senator Obama and Senator Clinton have to fight with each other. I think that her criticism is hurting him more than anything John McCain has said.”

He, Leahy, is attempting by streching the truth beyond its limits, to demean Senator McClain for his recent mixing up of the Sunni’s and the Shiites in a speech. Leahy going far and away from the facts when he says ” McCain has been making one gaffe after another”. What the hell does he call the lies of Obama and Clinton? How does he explain Obama, who ius his chosen candidate, condoning a Preacher damning America, blaming the U.S.A. for 9/11, his remarks about Italians and Jews? How does he rationalize Obama’s no votes in the Senate both the U.S. Senate and the Illinois Senate before that? Thius man is an embarrassment to the voters of Vermont who blindly keep electing him to the Senate. Maybe they will wake up.

Ode To Hillary – – It’s The Presidency to which you aspire !

Liar, Liar pants on fire

It’s your lies of which we tire.

You didn’t put your head down, you weren’t under fire

Your dishonesty has put you in the mire.

From this fiasco, let’s see you squeeze

You usually manage to slip out with ease.

The damage to your campaign is done

This time Bill wasn’t the one.

Sinbad says that he don’t lie

He says your stories just don’t fly.

Your head wasn’t down; it was in your ass

This time the media gives you no pass.

The time has come when we have to say

Hillary, Hillary please go away.

It’s McCain or We Slide Down the Liberal Slide to Ruin!!!

However, if those whose oppose this choice vote OTHER than McCain OR don’t vote President at all, it is them we blame for the liberal morons who will control Washington, the increased taxes and outlandish give-away programs, the crumble of the middle east and the resultant shortages of oil. It is them we will blame for the influx of illegals crossing our borders and sucking our public assistence and social ecurity dollars dry.

It is them we can blame for foreign affairs policies that make other countries laugh at us behind our backs and take advantage of us to our face. It is them we will blame for those who would take our money and use it for anti-American campaigns.

It is them we blame for mandatory sub-standard healthcare and liberal teachers who are only interested in furthering liberalism and collecting their payroll checks and it is them we blame for the burgeoning number of government workers who know nothing, do nothing and are nothing.

I hope the voters who choose this type of vote are ready and willing to shoulder the consequences of that vote!

Nancy Pelosi just can’t get it right! Last in a series

Ms. Pelosi just can’t seem to get it straight! This is the third and last article in my series on the first year anniversary of the Democratic (read Liberal) control of the House of Representatives lead by none other than The Queen, Nancy Pelosi! The question she was asked was: “What will Congress do to fix healthcare? This is a big topic on everyone’s agenda. The answer was typical Pelosi! “We sent the SCHIP Bill (State Children’s Health Insurance Program) to the President and HE vetoed it. It would have provided health insurance to 10 million more children”.What Ms. Pelosi forgot to mention was that the President vetoed the SCHIP Bill because:

·         There were no safeguards that YOUR tax money wouldn’t be spent on ineligible people

·         There were no limitations that illegal aliens or even ADULTS would benefit from SCHIP

·         The bill contained an additional funding mandate for $35 million more over five years

·         The bill also mandated adding four to six million more children in the next five yearsPresident Bush countered with a proposal to add $5 billion in funding and add 800,000 ELIGIBLE children to the program.

The Democrats (read Liberal’s) wanted absolutely nothing to do with his compromise. They wanted it their way or no way! They will try again to get this passed after the November 2008 elections. You may wonder WHY they are so adamant in passing a giveaway bill like the one they proposed. The reason is that IF they covered more people who were not eligible in the first place (such as illegal’s or those working with income levels greater than allowed? they would have more voters to help keep them in office.

As an aside to the above but still, I believe pertinent, I offer the following:

Does anyone recall the “relaxed” immigration rules that were ordered by the Clinton administration prior to the election for Bill Clinton’s second term? This is when the waiting times were shortened and the background checks were dispensed with and the United States got undesirables (including the worst possible criminal types) with no jobs and large families that ended up on welfare rolls and Bill Clinton got elected! Who paid for all of this? It wasn’t Hillary, it wasn’t Bill, IT WAS YOU!
