Teddy Kennedy’s “Accident” Just Had a 40th Year Anniversary!

Last Saturday marked the 40th anniversary of the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, killed July 18, 1969 after leaving a party with Senator Edward Kennedy aka Teddy the Swimmer since that date. That night, Kennedy drove his car off a bridge, and left the scene with Kopechne still in the submerged vehicle; he did not call the police until the following morning.

Over the course of the past four decades, the media elite have touted Kennedy as a “liberal lion,” spending far more time celebrating his ideological agenda than reminding people of his behavior that night in 1969. As my newsman Brent Baker noted in an op-ed back in 1999, the media have come to refer to Chappaquiddick as a “Kennedy tragedy,” not a “Kopechne tragedy.”

Perhaps the most egregious example of the liberal media planting a pro-Kennedy spin on Chappaquiddick came in a January 5, 2003 Boston Globe Magazine profile of Kennedy:

“If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward “Teddy the Swimmer” Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age,” wrote the Globe’

The still un-answered questions regarding this incident are;

Why was Kennedy not charged with vehicular manslaughter in connection with Kopechne’s untimely death?
Why is Kennedy looked upon as such a great man and this incident all but forgotten when the DUI that George W. Bush received many years ago keeps bouncing up in the news on a regular basis?

Instead of “liberal lion” he should be referred to as the “liberal loser”.

I think that IF Teddy “The Swimmer” Kennedy was NOT a member of the “Kennedy Family”, he would long ago been forgotten as the drunken fool and poor excuse for a human being that he is.

The media and the liberals may have forgotten Mary Jo but there are many of us who have not!

Chris Matthews feels “SOMETHING RUNNING DOWN” his leg!

You have all heard that the  obnoxious, fawning, Barack Obama loving news talker, Chris Matthews, host of the MSNBC program Hardball, told his staff on Wednesday night that he would not run for the Senate in 2010 from Pennsylvania.  Matthews had been considering entering the Senate race as a Democrat (now that is a news flash) in his home state at the same time he was renegotiating his contract with NBC News. He had attended several meetings that had included Pennsylvania representatives as well as some major fund-raisers in the Democratic Party.

The story on the street is that MSNBC made him a salary offer he couldn’t refuse to stay on and do his gushing coverage of “the Messiah” but I think the REAL STORY is that he got cold feet and the Pennsylvania Democratic honchos told him that “he just ain’t pretty enough” to beat old Arlen Spector in the election or raise anywhere near enough money from legitimate donors to try.

Now, I want you to realize that I am not a fan of Spector (RINO that he is) but at least he sits on the RIGHT side of the aisle. Obama lover, Matthews would probably have turned out to be a camera hog, the likes not seen since Jesse Jackson Sr or Al Sharpton anyway.

See Sarah, there IS a Santa Claus!

Merry Christmas to All My Friends Either Democrat or Republican

To all my Democrat friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive,
gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within
the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or
secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular
persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice
religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally
successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of
the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009, but not without due
respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to
society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is
necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the
Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race,
creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of
the wisher.

To all my Republican friends:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Ode To Hillary – – It’s The Presidency to which you aspire !

Liar, Liar pants on fire

It’s your lies of which we tire.

You didn’t put your head down, you weren’t under fire

Your dishonesty has put you in the mire.

From this fiasco, let’s see you squeeze

You usually manage to slip out with ease.

The damage to your campaign is done

This time Bill wasn’t the one.

Sinbad says that he don’t lie

He says your stories just don’t fly.

Your head wasn’t down; it was in your ass

This time the media gives you no pass.

The time has come when we have to say

Hillary, Hillary please go away.

Republican or Democrat, which is your Dog?

I found the following in our local paper and immediately confirmed my suspicions that am the PROUD OWNER of a Republican Boxer dog!

In addition to the points below, her chew toys, which she knows by name are all named after prominent left wing politicians or hangers on. Her favorites are “Teddy the Swimmer Kennedy” known to her as Teddy (it’s an overstuffed frog) & a stuffed pig the is named “John The Porker Murtha” known to her as Piggy John! There is also “Martin the Monkey Sheen” which she calls simply Marty and a stuffed penguin named Al Bore!

Republican pets

• They bark at passing neighbors and traffic; home security is very important to them.

• Their ears perk up when Fox News comes on.

• They are a big spender at the local pet store.

• Strongly believe pet matrimony should occur only between two cats or two dogs.

• Believe in the second-amendment right to bare teeth and claws.

• Are for electric border fences around the yard.

• Want national ID tags for all pets.

• They advocate for the pet-tracking chip — you can never have too much surveillance.

Democratic pets

• They want universal veterinary care for all.

• They want their treats for free.

• They socialize with all breeds at the dog park.

• They prefer their owner uses biodegradable poop bags.

• Are very concerned with the rising cost of pet food.

• Have the young puppy and kitten vote locked.

• Want to end the war of dogs vs. cats once and for all.

• Think of Ralph Nader as the dog catcher.

Think about it!

Another Vote Ignored by OBAMA aka NO Bama!

This was taken direct from the capitol Reporter:

Recent Senate Votes
FISA Amendments Act of 2007 – Vote Passed (68-29, 3 Not Voting)

The Senate passed this intelligence bill that would revise U.S. surveillance laws and grant retroactive immunity to telecommunications companies that helped the government conduct warrantless wiretapping of U.S. citizens.

Sen. Richard Durbin voted
NO……send e-mail or see bio
Sen. Barack Obama voted Not Voting……send e-mail or see bio

Also, please note that Senator DICK Durbin has voted NO! That no vote endangers you, your family and the whole country. His refusal to allow FISA expansion and put us (the United States) at the mercy of terrorists is done without any concern for the people of the USA. It is evident that the two Democratic Senators that the people of Illinois have representing them are not interested in the welfare of the people they represent and are more concerned about the rights of terrorists than our lives. VOTE THEM OUT!

Obama Shows his Lack of Knowledge and Judgement!

It’s a Q&A with Barack Obama December 20th in the Boston Globe, Charlie Savage wrote the story.  Try this one.  This is number five.  “Does the Constitution permit a president to detain US citizens without charges as unlawful enemy combatants?”  Obama’s answer:  “No. I reject the Bush Administration’s claim that the President has plenary authority under the Constitution to detain U.S. citizens without charges as unlawful enemy combatants.”  Memo to Obama:  It is not the Bush administration’s position.  The Supreme Court held in 2004 — this is the famous case, US vs. Hamdi.  The president has the power to detain American citizens without charges as enemy combatants.  Now, I just have to think here — I don’t know what to think.  He’s either ignorant or he’s saying something far more dangerous.  If he is saying that he’s not bound by the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the law, liberals would have a stroke if Bush claimed the kind of authority that Obama is claiming in this — and ignorance.

Think about this, think long and hard about this.

Father has a talk with his daughter

A young woman was about to finish her first  year of college.
Like so many others her age, she considered herself
to be a very  liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of the
redistribution of wealth.
She was deeply ashamed
her father was a rather staunch
Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that
she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she
felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to
keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to
higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare
The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had
to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.

He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0
GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that
she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying,
which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew.
She didn’t even have time for a boyfriend, and didn’t really have many
college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, “How is your friend Audrey doing?
She replied, “Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus, college for her is a blast. She’s always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn’t
even show up for classes because she’s too hung over.”
Her father asked his daughter, “Why don’t you go to the Dean’s office and ask him to deduct
a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both
have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.”
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father’s suggestion, angrily fired back, “That wouldn’t be fair! I have
worked really hard for my grades! I’ve invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey
has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off !”
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently,
“Welcome to the Republican Party.”
The above message is SO timely that when I received it from a friend, I had to share the message with y’all! ENJOY ! RWD

John Kerry Whines in Fund Raising Email

Below is an email I recieved from John Kerry, please notice the third and fourth paragraphs. What a phoney. This whole thing sounds like the Democrats are worried (roadblock Republicans, comment). He wants to get the things they have dreamed of for years in 2008, sure the last 2 years have been a bust for Congress – THE DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS that is- they have done nothing, they have not kept any of their campaign promises. They know they are going to lose! He is actually pleading for donations. What a whining phoney!

“I just wanted to mention one more thing I didn’t mention in my last email: in politics,  the end of the year marks the end of another fundraising quarter, and this one really counts for our friends who are trying to pick up some hard fought seats currently occupied by Roadblock Republicans.

When these numbers get reported in January, Republicans will pore over them looking for who might be vulnerable to attack. We want to show them that these Democrats are ready for the fight and can take anything the GOP can throw at them.

So do what you can to signal to the Republicans that 2008 will be a very bad year for them, and a very good year for Democrats.

And to widen the battlefield, I want to introduce another great Democrat to our fundraising mix: Tom Udall in New Mexico.  New Mexico is suddenly a great opportunity for Democrats to knock another brick out of the Republican Roadblock. And Tom’s been a true progressive fighter in the House — with his victory, it’s going to be a great year for Democrats next year all over the country.

So let’s give them the money they need now, and let’s get to work in 2008.

One last thing: Teresa and I would just like to wish all of you a very happy holiday season, and a wonderful new year. Thank you for all you do — and let’s join in a New Year’s resolution to make 2008 the year we build a big progressive majority in the United States that can get done all the things we’ve hoped for and dreamed of all these years. Thanks for your help,
John Kerry
