The FIGHT for The RIGHT!

Obama is in the Unions Pocket – Here is PROOF!

According to the Washington Times on 12/18/2008

Gerald McEntee, AFSCME President, said this is how the Unions expect to be paid back for their support of Barack H. Obama and the rest of the Democrats in 2008! “The payback would be Employee Free Choice Act – that would be a vehicle to strengthen and build the American labor movement and the middle class.”

What he really means is it would strengthen the union hold on American industry and commerce!

This of course would be detrimental to the worker and the employer while only a benefit to the sagging union roles in this country. The use of the “CARD CHECK” system of voting opens the doors for flagrant intimidation of workers to join a union.

Obama Cabinet Member on the HOT SEAT!

Just think about this; Obama is not even sworn in as President yet and he and/or his staff or cabinet appointees are the subject of federal scrutiny.

Bill Richardson is in trouble with the Feds for a “Pay for Play” type scam steering business to a campaign donor (just think he was a semi-favorite for President at one time).

Obama associate Gov. Rod Blagijevich was arrested several weeks ago by the FBI and is being charged with trying to sell Obama’s vacated U.S. Senate seat from Illinois. Obama’s man picked for his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanual seems to be in the middle as may be Valerie Jarret who the Prez Elect wanted to have the job or maybe even Jesse Jackson Jr. It is not sorted out as yet. This will get interesting IF the Feds offer either Blagojevich or his Chief of Staff, Robert Harris, who was also arrested, a deal to get minimum time in a country club federal prison and either one or both decide to sing a duet and spit out names and data on others. We will be listening…

In the mean time Obama’s transition Team, investigated Obama’s Transition Team and found that Obama’s Transition Team did nothing improper in the Senate seat scandal. Yes, that is right they investigated themselves and issued a report AFTER Obama went on vacation in Hawaii (he was not handy for questions then you see). I do not want anyone to think that Obama is being investigated by the Feds, as far as I know he is not… at this time!

The following article is from the L.A. Times and it touches on some of the information.

Feds probe Gov. Richardson of Obama Cabinet for ‘pay-to-play’
“It seems that Illinois’ legally challenged Gov. Rod Blagojevich is not the only close Barack Obama associate and Democrat governor being investigated by the feds for possibly selling government business in return for campaign contributions.

New Mexico’s Gov. Bill Richardson, who is the newly named Secretary of Commerce in Obama’s about-to-be Cabinet, is also being investigated by a federal grand jury in his home state for possibly steering state bond business from the New Mexico Financial Authority toward David Rubin, a significant campaign contributor, according to an NBC News report, among others.” –

Merry Christmas to All My Friends Either Democrat or Republican

To all my Democrat friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive,
gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within
the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or
secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular
persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice
religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally
successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of
the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009, but not without due
respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to
society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is
necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the
Western Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race,
creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of
the wisher.

To all my Republican friends:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Obama’s EFCA draws Fire from Liberal Professor at U of C!

It seems by the following article that Obama’s fellow Univ. of Chicago Law Professors don’t agree with him on the “goodness” of The Employee Free Choice Act. This is the act that he said will be the first thing he signs when assuming office on January 20, 2008. It is really a payback to the unions at the expense of the American worker for all the help and the money the unions gave Obama to push his election along.

It is at least heartening to see that even some of the most liberal of  the liberals find fault with Obama’s Socialist policies.

WSJ OpEd: EFCA Unconstitutional

epstein_richard.jpg

Prof. Richard Epstein

University of Chicago Law School Professor Richard Epstein has a great OpEd in today’s Wall Street Journal suggesting that the deceptively-named Employee Free Choice Act is unconstitutional. Epstein writes:

Consider card check and the First Amendment. Under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) today, an employer can insist upon a secret ballot after 30% of workers indicate by card checks their interest in a union. The campaign that follows lets the employer air his views about the downsides of unionization before the vote takes place.

To be sure, the employer’s free-speech rights are limited under the NLRA. He cannot threaten to move or shut down if workers vote for the union. Nor can he promise higher wages if they don’t. But he can make predictions of what will happen if his firm is unionized, and he can point to the reversal of worker fortunes in other unionized firms.

The Supreme Court (unfortunately, in my view) has held that the peculiar labor-law environment justified these abridgements of ordinary speech rights. But it hardly follows that if the government can curtail speech rights, the EFCA can eliminate them. There is simply no legitimate government interest in promoting unionization that justifies a clandestine organizing campaign which denies all speech rights to the unions’ adversaries.

Iraq Journalist Disrespects President Bush and America!

IRAQI WHO THREW SHOES AT BUSH ASKS FOR PARDON: A spokesman for Iraq’s prime minister says the journalist who threw his shoes at President George W. Bush has asked for a pardon. Spokesman Yassin Majid says that in a letter sent Thursday to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki the journalist described his behavior as “an ugly act” and asked to be pardoned. Majid says that Muntadhar al-Zeidi in the letter recalls the kindness the prime minister once showed him during an interview in 2005 and asked for al-Maliki to show him kindness once again.

Maybe in the spirit of peace, they should release him! NOT!

If they do, they should remove his feet first so he will never forget he disrespected not only the President but he also disrespected the United States of America!

This is unspeakable and it could have been dangerous to many people. What if the Secret Service would have shot him? (Maybe they should have)!

I am sorry to report, Mr. Sense has passed away!

Obituary for Mr. Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Mr. Common Sense.

Mr. Sense had been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn’t alway s fair. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies
(adults, not kids, are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Mr. Sense declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on; if not, join the majority and do nothing.

Sarah Palin is running strong for 2012!!

I borrowed this from the mindless and spinless blog which is owned by watch Dog who is a friend. It tells well what I have said about Sarah being around for a long time.

Saxby won Georgia and no doubt that RIGHTWING states decision was helped along by Sarah’s visit to award Saxby Chambliss with such a crippling defeat. All of Obama’s money and help were wasted.

This Zogby poll in not a small poll, 24,964 voters is a great sample.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is the slight favorite of Republican voters as the best candidate the party could run for President in 2012. When all voters are asked that questions, Palin falls into a three-way tie with Mitt Romney and Bobby Jindal.
]
Those are among the findings of a Zogby Interactive poll of 24,964 voters conducted from Nov. 7-18. The margin of error for the entire sample is +/-0.6 percent.

Voters were offered the choices of Palin, former Massachusetts Gov. Romney, Louisiana Gov. Jindal, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. All but Palin and Jindal were candidates for the 2008 nomination. Voters also could choose someone else.

Palin led among Republicans with 24.4 percent of the vote, followed by Romney with 18 percent, and Jindal with 15.6 percent. Among all voter, all three were in a virtual dead head, each sharing between 13 and 12 percent of the sampling. Rounding out the field in single digits were Huckabee, Giuliani, and Paul.
