The following post was taken from the blog: http://www.mindlessandspineless.blogspot.com

It was written by a friend of mine and I thought it had such great content in a concise format that I want to bring it to my readers as well.

“Wrecking The Economy To Win Elections”

“Both the Democrat Party and the Mainstream Media (MSM) operate on the old adage that says, “Tell a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth.”.

This has been very evident on the reporting of the economy over the pass sixteen plus years.

During the Clinton years, it was first claimed that Mr. Clinton had inherited a bad economy from Bush I. Totally not true, but they had to cover their lying behinds because they used that argument to get Clinton elected (“It’s the Economy stupid”).

Then in Clinton’s final year, while every economic indicator said that the U.S. economy was in recession, the MSM painted a very rosy picture in an effort to elect Gore.

When it was George W. Bush that won the election, the MSM claimed that he had inherited a wonderful economy and he quickly ruined it. They have been negative on the economy during the entire Bush administration, even though the unemployment rates have been at or near record low levels. The stock market has grown at a tremendous rate, but they only emphasize the declines, even if they only last one day. They ignore or outright lie about the benefits gained by the “Bush” tax cuts. Those cuts have, in fact, created the highest tax revenues in history.

In 2006, the Congress switched from Republican controlled to Democrat control largely on the basis of lies about the economy, lies about corruption, and lies about the war. In truth the economy was quite good, the Bush administration had only one member charged and convicted of anything. That one conviction was for lying to a FBI agent and it took the perjured testimony of Tim Russert to win a conviction.

The Clinton administration had several dozen convicted of actual crimes, but the MSM saw fit to play down real corruption. In spite of numerous daily lies about the War, exit polls indicated that it was not a significant factor in the election. MSM claims otherwise, again, trying to control the thinking of American voters.

Currently, we have a few problems which affect a few sections of the economy. Gasoline is at $4.00/gal, a much needed adjustment of the housing market is occurring, and food price are rising (to a large extent because we are converting food to fuel), but the vast majority of citizens are doing well. Key economic indicators do not indicate that the economy is in recession. But we are going to have a recession simply because, “Tell a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth”. The Democrat’s do not hesitate to tell the lie, nor does the MSM hesitate to air or print the lie.

It is sickening to think that the Mainstream Media and the Democrat Party are actively working to wreck the economy and damage the well being of many citizens just to win an election, but they have done it before and they are doing it again.”

The message M&S sends is clear to anyone thinking with at least half of their brain!

  1. RWD,
I am flattered that you have reprinted my Blog Posting, “Wrecking the Economy to Win Elections”.

We like yourself, are attempting to make as many people as possible aware of what is going on in this great nation.

Perhaps, between the two of us, and with a little help from our friends, we will save the U.S. from the bondage of Democrat Socialism!

  2. You are right RWD! The media pulls this stunt every time a Republican President is in office and people who don’t know any better actually listen to the lies and it eventually becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy. I am just thankful that we have other sources of information like the internet now so that people can research and share the real truth. You are doing a great job and a wonderful service to all of us! Thank you again!
