The FIGHT for The RIGHT!

Oh Oh, Obama

The credit for this article goes to Andy Martin and his site http://contrariancommentary.com . The article was copied as written on the site. I occaisionally stop by the site on my stroll around the Net looking for ideas. The content makes it worth your time to have a look once in awhile.

CHICAGO — If anyone else running for president locked his granny away and refused to allow her to be seen, would the media complain? You betcha !

America’s media have supinely allowed Barry Obama to pretend he has no white relatives. He has paraded his step-grandmother in
Kenya, who never saw him until the 1980s, as his “granny,” and locked the grandmother who actually raised him away in a closet.

Now, the Chicago Tribune reports “the Obama campaign declined to make [his white grandmother] available.”

Is she sick? Not apparently, Bedridden? Hospitalized? Not apparently. She is the “Prisoner of Obama,” and of Obama’s racist myth that he is “Black” and not “Black and White.”

What a disgrace.

And like whimpering puppies the media do not protest, complain or demand access.

Free Granny Madelyn Dunham [Obama]!Barack Obama is one of the most racist politicians in
America today. And we let him get away with it. We are afraid to confront Obama’s reality, so we pretend that reality is not there, even though it is staring us in the face. Anyone remember “Miss Lillian?” Or Barbara Bush? Or Bill Clinton’s mom, drinking, gambling card-playing gal that she was?

No one else but Obama could get away with pretending that his paternal grandfather’s second or third or fourth wife was his “granny” when she wasn’t.

Maybe that’s the core of the antipathy between grandson and grandmother. Maybe that’s why Obama’s white grandmother is locked in purdah. She is offended that Obambi shamelessly highlights his black relatives in Kenya and, equally shamelessly, pretends his white relatives in
Hawaii who actually raised him do not exist. It would hurt me.

No one could get away with pretending his white grandmother didn’t exist except a media witch doctor such as Obama.

I have been attacking Obama for months because of his racist exclusion of his white relatives from the campaign trail. http://www.contrariancommentary.com/community/Home/tabid/36/mid/366/newsid366/59/Default.aspx

We finally smoked out a picture of Obama’s sister in the Chicago Tribune. She had said she was his “adviser” but refused to be photographed. Did she plan to enter the White house with a paper sack over her head?

But the “segregation” of Madelyn Dunham, Obama’s white grandmother, and only real grandmother, has to be one of the cruelest and most mendacious political kidnappings this nation has ever seen.

Mrs. Dunham lives alone in the same apartment where she has lived for many years. Thus, it is reasonable to assume she is not incapacitated or an invalid.

Granny Dunham told the New York Times she was not well enough to speak, but in reality the Obama campaign maintains Stalinist “control” over potential interviewees. Obama’s minions tried to control access to Obama’s friend who was recently released from prison. Since he became a candidate for U.S. Senator, Obama has locked his white relative away in his racist closet.

Madelyn Dunham raised Barry Obama. It was probably her money that got him admitted to the prestigious
School in
Hawaii and paid his fees. Her efforts were formative, perhaps even more so than those of Obama’s mother Ann, Madelyn’s daughter. And yet Madelyn is being hidden away.

All because she is white and Barry Obama is a “black” candidate for president.

What a lie. What hypocrisy. What cowardice. And this man wants to sit in the Oval Office?

Ironically, locking Madelyn away is going to hurt Obama more with African-Americans than with whites. Whites delight in drinking Obama’s Kool-Aid. Reason and reality will only gradually descend on them.

But blacks are a lot smarter than whites are when it comes to slights, because they have experienced racial slights all their lives. Blacks know who Obama is, and they know how he is trying to “pass” and ignore his past.

During the decade when crack devastated the African-American community it was the “Black Grannies” who were and are the backbone of the community. These grandmothers helped stabilize disintegrating families ravaged by drugs. Black grannies will not like the fact that their white counterpart is being treated badly by Obama.

Black and white grandmothers? My guess is they will stick together on this one. They will be offended by the way Obama is treating the woman who really raised him and was the stabilizing factor in his life, Madelyn Dunham.

  1. This article is ridiculous on so many different levels. Did the author ever stop to think that maybe an 84 year old, intelligent, headstrong widow might not be interested in the media spotlight? She is not running for office. Is she not entitled to her privacy?

It is disgraceful that lies, slander, and thinly veiled racist sentiment pass as political rhetoric. Do the right a favor, Dog, and stop the spreading the propaganda.

  2. I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with the comments made by the author, I just post the article for informational purposes for the readers.

In addition to the Obama content, I believe this article in part exposes the “if it’s not reported, it’s not happening” side of the MSM.

If only for thought, I would like to pose this question in response to your comment:
What if the person mention was NOT Sen.Obama but it was Giuliani or Romney or better still the Democrats favored whipping boy, President Bush?

Would your commentary be the same?

  3. So you’re fair and balanced, huh? 😉

But you do pose a good question. I would like to think that I am averse to ad hominem attacks. Case in point: while I believe that the administration is bungling completely the spin related to the US Attorney firings, I also contend that the firings themselves are legit. The US Attorney’s office has been, and until it changes, will continue to be a political office. Like it or not, it is the nature of the beast. The President et al have much to answer for, but this is certainly not one of those things.

As to Giuliani or Romney, what does one say? I am sure that the personal life of one, and the record of the other might raise the irrational ire of some. When the time comes, just point me in the direction of any scurrilous remarks, and I will be sure to raise a fist of indignation.

  4. Stupid, STUPID article…It’s common knowledge in the black community and around the country that Barack has a multiracial background. Duh, that’s the appeal.

The only thing you have to discuss is whether Barack is or isn’t black? So what if he doesn’t want the press at his grandmother. Where’s Romney, Guliani or McCain’s grandma (he’s so old I’m sure she’s dead)? Why isn’t Guliani’s infidelity or his marriage to his blood cousin an issue? Why? Because their personal life is a very poor indicator of their potential as president.

This is exactly why people are so excited about Barack. “YES WE CAN”.

  5. What a stupid shirt. Obama is NOT keeping his grandma imprisoned. She is in poor health. Funny thing before the Hawaii caucus someone accidentally called her on the Obama phone bank.

Obama Caller Gets Surprise – Candidate’s Grandmother

HONOLULU — Sen. Barack Obama supporters got a bit of a surprise on Wednesday night as they tried to gather support for the state Democratic Caucus.

One of the volunteer callers placed a call to a Madelyn Dunham on the call list.

When Dunham answered the volunteer began reading the support-Obama script when Mrs. Dunham said, “Honey, you don’t have to convince me. Barack Obama is my grandson.”
Obama lived with his grandparents Madelyn and Stanley Dunham on Beretania Street when he was growing up in Honolulu.

His Grandma loves Obama, his Grandpa and mother passed on, but they loved him dearly as well. When I hear such idiotic claims, or stupid shirts being made… it’s just gross!!!

Convention speaker says Hawai’i shaped his life
    • Party icons light Democrats’ fire

    Advertiser Staff and News Services

When Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama takes the stage as keynote speaker at the Democratic National Convention tonight, he may receive an especially enthusiastic ovation from Hawai’i delegates.

“Hawai’i’s spirit of tolerance might not have been perfect or complete, but it was — and is — real,” said Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama, who is a Punahou School graduate.

    Associated Press
The 1979 Punahou School graduate says he owes so much to Hawai’i.

“It’s where my parents met, where I was born and where I was raised, but most importantly it’s the place where I learned the ability to relate to a lot of different people,” said Obama, 42. “That has carried over and has had an impact on my politics.”

The Harvard-educated law professor is heavily favored in his bid to become the fifth African-American U.S. senator in history. He says he feels lucky to have been raised in Hawai’i, and says that upbringing formed the basis of his values.

“Hawai’i’s spirit of tolerance might not have been perfect or complete, but it was — and is — real,” said Obama, the son of a black African father and Caucasian mother from Kansas, who met at the University of Hawai’i.

“The opportunity that Hawai’i offered — to experience a variety of cultures in a climate of mutual respect — became an integral part of my world view, and a basis for the values that I hold most dear,” he wrote in a fall 1999 essay in the Punahou Bulletin.

Obama, a member of the Buffanblu state championship basketball team, received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University and was the first African American elected president of the Harvard Law Review.

He worked as a community organizer in New York and Chicago on job-training programs and other projects, and as a civil-rights lawyer in Chicago. He is now a senior instructor in constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.

“The irony is that my decision to work in politics, and to pursue such a career in a big Mainland city, in some sense grows out of my Hawaiian upbringing, and the ideal that Hawai’i still represents in my mind,” he said.

If anyone wondered whom Maxine Goldstein, of Milledgeville, Ga., supports for president, her attire at the Democratic National Convention in Boston dispelled any doubt. Democrats kicked off their convention yesterday to officially nominate John Kerry for president.

    Associated Press
After law school he considered returning to Hawai’i.

“But I was interested in working with low-income, urban communities, and felt I could make my biggest contribution on the Mainland,” he said.

When his parents married in 1961, Hawai’i was as close as America got to being the world’s melting pot, he said in his essay.

“Both my mother and father embraced the ideal of racial harmony that Hawai’i represented, and although their marriage proved short-lived, it was that ideal that my family continued to nurture in me throughout my early childhood,” he wrote.

After his parents divorced, his father returned to Kenya. His mother remarried to an Indonesian, and he moved with her to Jakarta. There, he witnessed first-hand the gulf between rich and poor and the corruption that affects many Asian nations, he said.

“By the time I moved back to Hawai’i, and started school at Punahou, I had come to recognize that Hawai’i was not immune to issues of race and class, issues that manifested themselves in the poverty among so many native Hawaiian families, and the glaring differences between the facilities we at Punahou enjoyed and the crumbling public schools that so many of our peers were forced to endure,” he wrote in his Punahou essay.

“I believe that the carefree childhood I experienced in Hawai’i, and the wonderful education I received at Punahou, should not be left to the luck of the draw, but should rather be every child’s birthright,” he said. “I believe that only in a country in which we can appreciate differences of race and religion and ethnicity, while still insisting on our common humanity, will my own soul feel rested.”

Obama, whose first name in Swahili means “one who is led by God,” was raised by his mother and grandparents at their home on Beretania Street.

Madelyn Dunham, Obama’s maternal grandmother, said yesterday she’s “a little overwhelmed” by the recent events and national attention surrounding her grandson.

“This has all come on the national level really fast,” she said from her Honolulu home. “And of course, I’m proud of him. He’s always been a very brilliant young man.”

Dunham gave Obama, whom she described as “charismatic and very thoughtful,” one piece of advice during a recent phone call.

“I told him to smile when he’s on TV,” she said. “He comes across better.”

John Kamana III, a former all-state athlete at Punahou and Obama’s basketball teammate, has described Obama as “just an all-around good guy” who was outgoing, intelligent and well-spoken.

“I don’t think that running for the Senate is above what he would do as an individual,” Kamana said shortly after Obama won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate in March. “I think he always had it in him. … Once he had locked onto something that he felt was the right thing to do, he’d go all the way.”

Obama, his wife, Michelle, and their two young daughters, Malia, 6, and Sasha, 3, return every Christmas to Hawai’i, where his grandmother and sister still live.

This year will be no different, even if he wins the Senate seat.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I really will need a vacation. I look forward to getting up in the morning, driving to Sandy Beach and doing some bodysurfing and then getting a shave ice and plate lunch.”

Obama will address the convention for about 20 minutes. He said his goal is to outline priorities including the right to retire with dignity and to have health insurance. He said his speech, which he wrote himself, will avoid bashing President Bush but will mention his own well-known opposition to the Iraq war.

Obama said he believes that the Bush administration has lost too much credibility in the global community to administer the policies necessary to stabilize Iraq.

“On Iraq, on paper, there’s not as much difference, I think, between the Bush administration and a Kerry administration as there would have been a year ago,” Obama said. “There’s not that much difference between my position and George Bush’s position at this stage. The difference, in my mind, is who’s in a position to execute.”

The problem, Obama said, is the low regard for Bush in the international community.

“… I am skeptical that the Bush administration, given baggage from the past three years, not just on Iraq … I don’t see them having the credibility to be able to execute. I mean, you have to have a new administration to execute what the Bush administration acknowledges has to happen.”

“It’s an enormous privilege,” Obama said of giving the speech. “As my wife suggested, I’d better not screw it up.”

  7. Obama knows little of the International Community. In fact Obama knows little about government period. If you think he is “all about Change” and he will re-invent government and re-do Washinton D.C., take a look at his list of advisors: A good long look and then IF you don’t recognize some of the names, Google them or better still, go back to Bill Clinton’s staff. Why? Because they worked for Bill Clinton. Do you think for a minute that they will not go back to doing things the way Bill Clinton did? Do you think Obama actually thinks for himself on all these campaign issues? I hope not because IF you do, you have become a Wacko Left-Wing Nut who has swallowed Obama’s brand of cool aid.
