Seems that Obama is losing what he needs MOST!
The center shifts: Independents move to McCain
Independent voters, and particularly white independent men, have leaned Republican in presidential races since 1980. But before the Republican convention, Gallup polling showed just 40 percent of independents favoring McCain.
Post-convention, that rose to 52 percent — and the increase in support was slightly greater among men than among women, which appears to undercut the idea that Sarah Palin has benefited the ticket by drawing women to it.
A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll found that 62 percent of men have a favorable view of Palin, while just 53 percent of women view her favorably.
Though no Democrat has won a majority of white voters since Lyndon Johnson in 1964, Obama cannot win unless he pulls back some of these white independent voters.
Obama CANNOT win without the independant vote and the above shows he has lost significant support in that area with still 49 days to go to the election.

The more the voters learn about BO, the less they like him.
He is a fool! He tells new lies everyday and he is so stupid that he fails to realize that what he said yesterday is a matter of record. For example he has told and continues to say that his parents met while marching in Selma. That is quite a trick because by his account, he was born 5 years before they met. Explain that one in biology class. In other tails his mother was both a Christian and an atheist.
Then it’s his tax plans. He calls stealing from the rich and transferring it to the ‘poor’ being neighborly. He claims that all the tax increased will be on the top 5%. But then calls for letting the so call Bush tax cuts to expire, which puts taxes back on to 100,000’s of thousands of people who at present, pay no taxes. His increase in capital gains taxes will negatively effect the retirement earnings of over 100,000,000 person. 95% ?.
The blush is off the bloom and the truth is beginning to shine through!
The rising “Star” of the Democrat party has fizzled and is a dying ember.
The new light of the Republican party is a Super Nova and will shine brightly for decades to come.
I’m an independent moderate in Ohio, and am still undecided. Altough it’s not the only reason, but many are taking sides based on race, not issues. We’ve come so far, but still have quite a distance to cover.
As for me, the choice, too conservative vs too liberal, is difficult – thus a race to see if I vote for either. If the election was today, the presidential area on my ballot would be blank.
Frank:
If that was the case, you actually gave your vote to Obama as he is the alledged one to beat. Remember that if you want a “too liberal” sitting in the White House! I do not!
